Periodontitis may be cured!
Periodontitis - is an inflammatory process in the tooth tissue surrounding. This infectious disease leads to the gum and bone destruction that support the teeth.
In our clinic there is a range of doctors, specializing in effective periodontitis treatment:
periodontist,
orthopaedist,
implantologist,
therapist или
orthodontist In case of necessity we arrange their joint consultation. As a result we provide you with an individual treatment plan.
The way of treatment is clarified after a range of additional investigations, such as panoramic X-ray, parodontogram etc, and is performed in several stages:
- treatment with fine-dyspersated soda under pressure (Airflow) и and ultrasound (Pieson – therapy), final polishing with fluorine-containing paste.
- therapeutic (closed curettage, VECTOR therapy ) or surgical (flap procedure with osteoplasty) methods.
- in certain rare cases, that are usually connected with a late visit to a doctor, some teeth have to be extracted.
But even in this case you shouldn’t lose hope. Modern dentistry makes it possible to substitute the lost teeth by implants. Such artificial teeth are done from high-tensile, inert and aesthetic materials and they absolutely do not differ by quality and beauty from natural ones.
Stages of disease development
There are 3 stages of development:
- Initial stage of periodontitis - gingivitis, that is characterized by inflamed, red and bleeding gums, also unpleasant taste in your mouth.
- Light stage of periodontitis - formation of pathologic dentogingival pockets. (the dentist’s instrument may easily pass through the space between a gum and a tooth).
- Progressing stage of periodontitis - the infectious process proceeds on to the dental ligaments and bones that support teeth. Then appears the gum abscess that consists of pus and swollen tissues. Teeth start to change their position and according to this process there appear undesirable space between teeth. As a result it leads to a loss of teeth.
To avoid these problems it is necessary to make an appointment to a doctor as soon as possible, to detect the symptoms and start the gum treatment in time.
